The PX Series small character inkjet printers were originally designed and introduced in 2003 to provide the best price per feature; the enhanced PXR Series printers have kept the same best features and added more environmentally and operationally friendly features.
PXR SERIES Features
1. Environmentally friendly
• Hitachi PXR series improved design decreases the amount of raw materials that affect the environment and is in full compliance with the guidelines as set forth in the RoHS directive issued by the European Union [RoHS directive: The restriction of the use of lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBBs, PBDEs, cadmium by the European union].
• Environment friendly inks--Ethanol, Acetone based and Chromium-free inks--are available.
• Solvent evaporation is greatly reduced by the state-of-the-art ink circulation system.
2. High Print Quality:
• The Combination of viscocity control and ink density control assures stable drop formation resulting in high quality printing around the clock.
• Wide operating temperature 0-45°C(for ink JP-K67, JP-K69 ).
3. User Friendly :
Hitachi PXR series features a 10.4-inch color TFT liquid crystal touch-panel display, a first in the industry. This display offers users exceptional ease and simplicity of use, and onscreen instructions for troubleshooting and step by step guidance for maintanance functions (filter replacemnet etc.).
4. High reliability:
• The printer uses the 304 stainless enclosure that is sanitary, robust and rust resistant, which conforms to the IP55 international safety standards for dust-proof, water proof.
• Original ink circulation system provides more stable ink return.
• Nozzle and gutter are automatically cleaned before stopping.
• A commonly available memory card can be used to store the copied "registered character data" and "print data": When the Ink Jet printer is moved or a new printer is added, the print data can easily be transferred from one printer to another as well as print data lost by erroneous operation can be quickly recovered. Your data will always be securely backed up.

HITACHI PXR FUNCTIONS
1. Date / Time automatic update
The "Expire Date" input can be made automatically in accordance with the manufacturing date...month, day, year, Julian Date, hour, minute.
2. Calendar Substitution Function

Symbols can be input instead of actual dates.

Printing is done with the day value ‘03’ replaced by B and the hour value ‘01’ replaced by B.
3. Basic Counters
You can use more than one counter at a time. Counters can be reset externally or using the jump function. Incremental, decremental and also alfanumeric.
4. Inter-line Space/ Inter-character Space
 
5. Reciprocative Printing
This function works with a traversing arm to move the printhead in any XY direction.
6. Speed Follow Function or Encoder Function
When the speed of the conveyor changes the pulse of the encoder keeps the width of characters the same.
7. Print Start Delay Function
Delay is adjustable while printing
 (*a : adjusted distance after print start signal to the actual printing position.)
3. Consecutive Printing Function
Can be done with one signal trigger or the sensor signal ON all the time.
